Our Approach

PYE’s Multiplier Effect

PYE functions as a catalyst.

We have a diverse group of facilitators working around the world to create and deliver dynamic training programs for anyone who works with youth. This includes everyone from large youth organizations to individual teachers. All of our facilitators are trained by PYE in social artistry and using creativity to bring about social change. They also have skills in leadership and running and organizing workshops.

Our facilitators usually partner with organizations who are local to the area they are working in. This allows them to tap into expert knowledge about the challenges faced by the local community. PYE facilitators work together with staff from these local organisations to pass on their knowledge and to introduce them to the Creative Community Model for working with young people.

We have made a very conscious decision to work with partners rather than directly delivering programs for youth. This allows us to reach large numbers of youth while still remaining a nimble organization with low overheads.

We call our approach the “train-the-trainer” approach. PYE provides training, support and resources to lead trainers and youth facilitators in each region.  These lead trainers are able to lead youth programs and train others, who in turn will also lead youth programs and train others.

This is the multiplier effect. It means that through PYE’s work we build local capacity and are able to deliver effective programs that impact upon millions of youth.
