Nassir Katuramu is the East Africa Venture and Fellowship Manager for Ashoka, a global association of social entrepreneurs who are creating system-changing solutions for the world’s most urgent social problems. He is co-founder of Future Link Technologies, a Ugandan-based software solutions provider that is creating innovative mobile information technologies and is providing financial information management solutions for microfinance institutions in East Africa. Nassir helped found Icon Partners and Associates that provides capacity building, organizational support, and development services for civil sector organizations. He also helped establish the Icon Women and Young People’s Leadership Academy, a non-profit organization that provides leadership development programs for children, youth, and women. He served as National President for AIESEC in Uganda, a large international student-run exchange-based organization (see www.aiesec.org), where he led an expansion drive that spread the organization from one to four universities.
Nassir has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Makerere University. He is an Alumni of AIESEC Uganda; a board member of AIESEC, Kampala International University; a board member of the Answers Solutions Knowledge Project of AIESEC, Makerere University; chairman of the board of Future Link Technologies; vice chairperson of Icon Women and Young People’s Leadership Academy; and a member of the Rotary Club of Kampala South. Nassir began his training with PYE Global in 2008. He brings organizational skills and a background in leadership development to his facilitation work.
